The best fit, exclusive customization feature allows users to upload a short video of both their ears through the OwnPhones app, which will then be converted into 3d print custom-fit earbuds. From there, users can further customize their OwnPhones earbuds by choosing from a huge selection of styles, colors, and materials.

These custom 3D printed OwnPhones are also completely wireless, allowing full noise cancellation. This makes OwnPhones suitable for any lifestyle and activity such as running or biking. It can also be worn like a piece of jewelry that sound great and fit any ear perfectly.

Kickstart OwnPhones to Life

Jobani and his team have launched a Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign to raise funds to take OwnPhones to the next step. The proceeds of the campaign will be used for the design and manufacture of additional electronics components, such as True Wireless Stereo and SoundScaping Chip. It will also cover the creation of a complete database of fully-scanned ears for statistical analyses, as well as the development of automated photometry correction processes. Production-level 3D printers and post-processing machinery will also be acquired through the proceeds from the campaign.

The OwnPhones team plans to create highly user-specific and customized earbuds that also provide the best sound quality and sound isolation. It will work using Bluetooth 4.0, with an integrated microphone for calls, and will be fully compatible with iPhone 4S and up, Android phones with LE hardware, and Windows Phones with LE hardware. It is rechargeable using a Micro USB, with a battery life of 5 to 6 hours play time, 4 to 5 hours using advanced SoundScaping, and 140 hours standby.
