Vevue, an innovative way of introducing social video sharing, launches Appsplit campaign to further develop the app!
“Your world, your lens” is the slogan of this up-and-coming social and sharing app, Vevue. It lets users instantly record 30-second video reviews of places and establishments, and share these to the world. These videos are pinned to the Vevue map. They can also be accessed and viewed on the Vevue YouTube page and are linked on the place or establishment’s Google+ profile.
The free app lets users share each other’s experiences in any place or venue, from the local street market to the hippest beach clubs in the Caribbean. It lets friends see a place through the user’s eyes, as Vevue puts it.
Currently, Vevue has an android app where users can take 30-second videos of themselves making reviews or commentaries of the different places they visit. After the 30 seconds is up, the video is then automatically uploaded to be shared with family and friends. Vevue also has a Google Chrome extension, letting everyone see Vevues throughout Google+. The Vevue videos are also automatically linked to the Vevue YouTube Channel so anyone can see the reviews and videos from anywhere in the world.
The Vevue Team is made up of founder Thomas Olson, self-proclaimed vintage jewelry expert, eBay power seller and co-founder of eBay mobile listing app minute list it; Joshua Mix, CEO with a Masters in Classical Archeology; Amanda Cavazos, Creative Director, a foodie and marketing guru who is also an eBay power seller and co-founded minute list it with Olson; and Zeeshan Arif and The Whizpool Team, in charge of web and mobile development of the app.
With the Appsplit campaign, the Vevue Team plans to make further developments into the app, making sharing into social feeds much easier, improving the interactive map and search filters, building Vevue for iOS and creating live Vevues.
